You can add text to the right of the field using the 'delimiters' field in the Form Builder advanced tab. The inputs are quite short but there's actually no limit in the amount of text you can put there.
I'm not sure though that these delimiters appear on the email notifications. I'll need to check that.
I'd be interested in this as well, more so with exports than email notifications. I'd like to be able to align some of my forms with existing offline databases, and I'd rather be able to name the individual questions according to the field names there than have them be the actual question itself. I haven't been able to figure a way to do that yet.
It'd be nice to essentially be able to assign the field name independently of its displayed text, basically like the the id attribute for an input tag. This would be useful for multi-field default entries such as "Full Name" and "Phone Number". The export just has blank headers for these sorts of fields.
Am I just missing the option? Just created my account today, so that's certainly not out of the question. But I've read the FAQ and documentation and didn't see it there.
I'd also be intrested in this as it appears to be the only way to have the text appear just to the right or left of the filed. I sometimes use it as a question (kinda like a fill-in-the-blank) and then it doesn't print.
