I am having issues with staying logged in. A couple days ago, I registered, logged in, made a form and am currently using the form from my website. The problem is that I log in now, try to click on certain areas and it either opens a new page wanting me to "log in" as if I didn't or tells me I have not logged in. I log in again...it brings me back to my home page which shows the form I made and the responses. I can't even get into my already made form to edit it. This is really frustrating to work on this site. This Forms website looks like what I've been looking for, but I'm not looking to have to spend an eternity with trying to log in. Please, somebody help...Is the site having issues with this situation? Anyone else having same problem(s)?

    Hello,

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with our service. The usual cause of problems like the ones you are describing, it a misconfiguration of your cookies settings.

Can you provide us with a bit more info:
    1. What browser and version you are using.
    2. What OS you are using.
    3. Do you have any cookie blocking software running on your machine?
    4. Have you tried accessing FormAssembly with a browser other than your primary browser, or on a different machine?

    Happy to help further

Can you provide us with a bit more info:
    1. What browser and version you are using. (Internet Explorer 8, Version 8.0.6001.18702)
    2. What OS you are using. (MS Windows XP Home Edition)
    3. Do you have any cookie blocking software running on your machine? (Not to my knowledge: I have viewed the webpage privacy policy and with all the pages visited on your website, my information states "Based on the your privacy settings, no cookies were restricted or blocked". I have even edited the cookie handling for this website to "always allow this site to use cookies"
    4. Have you tried accessing FormAssembly with a browser other than your primary browser, or on a different machine? (No, have not tried that yet)

Also, I just don't understand why this formassembly website is the ONLY site I have this issue with. I have many "log ins" from other sources that I use for my website building and personal uses and this is the first time I have ever come accross something like this. Does this site have a Recommended Browser to use? I will try a couple other computers.

    Thanks, Jc2base

    Hello,

No, we don't have a recommended browser. We check our compatibility against IE6/7/8, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera, though IE6 and Opera support can be a bit buggy at times.

Can you try running IE8 in no add-ons mode ( also make sure you're not in 'compatibility' mode ). You can run IE8 in no add-ons mode by going to:
    Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->IE8 (No add-ons).

If that works, we can start narrowing down the cause.

    OK I will try that.

All the issues are on my laptop I utilize. I am now on my Desktop computer and everything works fine (no log in issues). So, I have the same OS and the same browser on my desktop as I do on my laptop which means its not an issue with the first two questions. I am gonna log in with my laptop now and try your suggestion. BRB, Thanks for your quick responses

Ok. I am NOT in compatibility mode. And, I checked the system tools and it states "IE8 No add-ons". I clicked on it and it brought up a browser window stating that IE8 is in "no add-ons" mode...please suggest next step. My laptop is blocking something, I just don't know what or how to find and fix it.

and were you able to access FormAssembly within the 'no add-ons' version of IE8? If so, you should check to see if your have the 'Google Chome BHO' installed as a plugin inside your regular version of IE8 ... we've seen that one being a problem with cookies before, but it's fairly unusual to see it installed.

OK. Working in "IE8 No Add-ons" is working fine with staying logged in. Looks like I am able to get around without constantly having to log in. There is still something going on though... I click to "edit my form" and the form does not show up. The left side "Outline" shows up, but the right side "form" does not...just the word "Loading". Also, I try and click on a form item and hit the prefrences tab and it just stays in "Loading".

With Add-ons IE8...Under Google Inc, it showed "ChromeFrame BHO" as being enabled. I disabled it and I still have log in issues. Any other add ons that could be causing probs? Or do I have to always come to the formassembly site under IE8-No Add-ons?

Ok disregard last part of last message. I did disable the "chromeframe bho". I just rebooted my computer and opened my IE8 normally. Everything is working fine right now. I am staying logged in and able to get around the site. Also am able to edit my form normally. Thanks for the quick responses and help.
