Hello, can you tell me if it's possible to do the following with FormAssembly and SalesForce: We don't do surveys by email. We have a Customer Care person that calls all our customers and surveys them over the phone. What I'd like to do is add a link to a contact record that launches a survey form. Our Customer Care rep would click that link to start a survey with that contact. The survey results could then be viewed by any of our salesforce users by clicking on a link in the contact record. Thanks.

    Hello,

Yes, this can be accomplished with FormAssembly.

In order to do this, you will need to follow the directions here:
"How to populate a form with data from Salesforce" ( Creating a custom link button)
    http://www3.formassembly.com/blog/support-documentation/connectors-documentation/salesforce-documentation/how-to-populate-a-form-with-salesforce-data/#customlink

    "Salesforce Documention"
    http://www3.formassembly.com/blog/support-documentation/

I'm not sure how familiar you are with out system, but the above should get you started, and if you like, I have a screencast showing how to create a web-to-lead form in FormAssembly and connect it to Salesforce.

    Happy to help further,
    FA Support.

So viewing the results as mentioned above could also be accomplished with a link? Thanks.

    Hello,

The FormAssembly copy of the submitted survey could only be viewed by users who have a FormAssembly Pro account ( to whom the owner of the Form had shared access rights ), however, I assume you'd want this survey data to go into Salesforce as a custom object. If the survey results are in Salesforce as a custom object associated with the contact record, then you can set viewing permissions on that SF object within your SF profiles page for members in your organization.

    To summarize:
    1. You'd create a custom button on your Contact record page for your Org's Customer Care person to click on to create a prepopulated form ready to collect survey data.
    2. That form, on being submitted, would create a SF custom object record associated with the client record being surveyed.
    3. That SF record would that be viewable to your organization members.

    Hello,

Just checking if you had any more questions about this sort of Salesforce setup.

    Happy to help,
    FA Support.
  1.
    Hey Team,

I am trying to do something similar here. I would like to send out surveys to some of our mentors from Salesforce via an opportunity record and I would like those results to be accessible from an object in the opportunity record. (e.g. Anyone in the organization can go to the object and read the survey results). This survey won't be updating any records, I just want to be able to review the results from the contact record. Any idea on what to do here?
  2.
any update here with this question?

    Hello Ken,

My apologies that you didn't get a reply here. We're handling this in the support queue, but for anyone who comes along:

You need to create a CampaignMember object for them. In order to do this you will need to know:

    1. The Contact/Lead Id for the respondent.

    2. The CampaignId for the Campaign you wish to add the respondent to.

This is a bit hard to talk about in the abstract, so if you could tell me which form you're working on, and provide me with the CampaignId, I'd be able to help you better.

    Happy to help further,

    Drew
