Wanted to see if it possible to for each response to generate a unique number for that response? If so, would that info be included in the response email if we had the pay-as-you plan?

Hello, Yes, you can include the %%RESPONSE_ID%% alias in a custom email notification. This corresponds to that response's unique id. As an example:
http://app.formassembly.com/responses/view/%%RESPONSE_ID%% would create a link to view your response in FormAssembly.

Is the RESPONSE_ID number long? We were looking for a way for this to function as a Purchase Order Number for people submitting requests thru the check request we created. Will the person that fills out the form be able to easily id this number in the auto response email that is sent to them? Thanks so much :-)

It's not terribly long, around 7 digits, like 7120122.

If you add to your response email:
Your Purchase Order Number is: %%RESPONSE_ID%%

I think you'd figure it out.

is there a way to have my own ID; say starting at 2011_0001 for the first response on my form and then 2011_0002 for the second one?

I intend to generate invoices with a form.

    Hello Vat,

Unfortunately not. Only the response_id as described above.
