I see passing references in the FormAssembly site to 'autoresponders' being available on the premium plan. I need to send a scheduled series of emails, automatically, to folk whose details I have captured using a FormAssemblyform ie. I need a standard automated autoresponder program. Is this available within FormAssembly or do I have to bolt on a further utility eg. Aweber?
It depends on the complexity of the email series you need to send. FA comes with an easy-to-use autoresponder that will send an email to a single respondent based on the email they enter. Can you say a bit more about your scenario?
Right now someone who saves a form will get an email notification immediately after. Is this what you mean? Or do you want to schedule future notifications that they need to complete the form? If so, I don't think that's a native functionality, but maybe one of the folks at FA would be better to answer that.
What I had in mind was a fully automated series of email followups, to send to people once they have successfully submitted a form reply eg. to request to join an ezine service. So the auto-responder would send a series of follow-up emails at scheduled intervals. I did not mean simply a one-time acknowledgement of people's submissions. I guess a scheduled series of follow-ups is beyond the remit of FormAssembly?
Yeah, you would need to use something outside of FA to my knowledge. Our organization uses Salesforce.com for things like this - integrates seamlessly with FormAssembly.
I see what you mean. In that case, it would be a bit clunky to pull the info out of FA and then into a third party app. I'd suggest posting it on the FormAssembly idea board.
