It would be helpful if the copy functionality copied all aspects of a particular form. Of particular interest to us (and what triggered this feature request), is the copying of notification setup. We frequently deploy new versions of forms by copying them, creating the new version out of the copy, then updating any links or embedded HTML to use the new copy. Occasionally, we've forgotten to manually transfer the notification setup to the new form. Thanks!
We've actually considered the behavior you describe, but it was rejected (even though it was easier to code). The logic was that it's fairly easy to copy and paste the content from the old form to the new copy for notifications, but far too easy for people to forget to update the copied data if it were copied. Given a choice between an 'opt out' mechanism ( your suggestion ) and an 'opt in' ( copy and pasting the content from the old form ), we decided to go with the 'opt in'.
Unfortunately it's a 50/50 split as to which is right way.
